Project Project 366: Four Favorites of May | Sweet Wally Photography | Nashville Photographer

After last month's moving-induced funk, momma got her groove back in May! A new house means new light to discover, and that has been really inspiring. Just goes to show that you have to push through a creative block to get to the other side. Here are my four favorites from my Project 366 this month!

Month three of my personal project - to photograph, edit & post a photo every day for a year - was the toughest. April was moving month, and it was one reason why I was hesitant to even think about undertaking a Project 366. But even when the photos were more snapshot than art, I kept at it. And that's something. Here are my four favorites I managed to snag amongst the chaos!

Personal Project 366 | Sweet Wally Photography | Nashville Newborn Photographer

Two months down in my 12 month, 366 day long personal project to shoot, edit & post a photo every day for a year. This project is a mix of frustration & excitement, which is exactly what a challenge should be. One perk is that we've certainly been driven to get out & about Nashville to discover new light & photograph in new places. But funny enough, three of my four favorite photos from the month of March are from my house!  Hope you enjoy.

Project 365 | Sweet Wally Photography | Nashville Newborn Photographer

When beginning my photography business, it was really important that I continue to photograph my family. After all, that is why I picked up a camera in the first place. But with more families to capture in such a fun stage of their life, I fell into the trap I so much wanted to avoid. Taking the pictures wasn't the problem; uploading and editing them at the end of the day, along with the once-in-a-lifetime ones I'm entrusted with, seemed too overwhelming.

But Instagram gave me the push I needed, and seeing my friend Natalie's gorgeous feed she is curating with her personal Project 365 inspired me to take the leap. So I've begun my own Project 365 (or more correctly Project 366 - thank you leap year!), and I am posting on my personal Instagram feed to keep me accountable. I will post my four favorites at the end of every month on this blog.

If you'd like to follow along, you can check it out here. My sweet babies & bumps photos are here. Please connect so I can see your beautiful work too!

Without further ado, here are my four favorites from February!
