There is always a rhythm to a newborn session, and not surprisingly, those rhythms are dictated by how many kids are in the family. With the first baby, the session is quiet, serene, calm; I chat with the parents about the birth & gush over the nursery details that undoubtedly took months to create. With the second baby, there is more attention to the oldest sibling & how he's adjusting; the nursery usually isn't fully complete, but I can steal the baby away for a few solo shots while someone entertains the big brother.
But a session with the third baby? It is the best combination of energy, inquiries and organized chaos. There is no nursery, just a bassinet in the corner. There are few feature shots of the baby because the other two want in on the action. There isn't much chatting with the parents as I am busy having a blast with the kids. Welcome to the Baby O session!
These big brothers were awesome. The oldest had the coolest camera, and he was as great a second shooter as I could have asked for. I asked the second what is favorite toy was and his response was "my baby." They officially dubbed my bean bag "Marshmallow," a nickname that will live on for many more sessions to come.
Have you fallen in love with these boys yet? If not, the adorableness below will certainly get you there. Enjoy!
